Shell hosts auto show on Memorial Day weekend
Shell Marianas gives you one more good reason to celebrate this Memorial Day weekend as it launches the first Shell Form and Function Auto Show at the American Memorial Park on May 25.
Jeff Boyer, Shell Marianas retail area manager, said 25 participants will be vying for exciting cash prizes at the car show.
He said there are nine categories—2-door import; 4-door import, domestic, mini truck, 4X4, classic (over 25 years), café bike, roadster bike and best of show. The event is scheduled to start at 4pm.
First prize for each category is $500; second prize is $250; and third, $100, Boyer said.
“We hope the community shows up for this great event,” Boyer said. “It’s an add-on to their Memorial Day weekend celebration.”
What really makes the event exciting is that it’s guaranteed to bring out car enthusiasts and motorheads across the island to put their cars on display, compete and, at the same time, have a chance to bring home cash prizes.
Highlighting the event are Guam’s Biggah & Bettah, four fashion models also from Guam; and two award-winning exhibition cars likewise from Guam, Boyer said.
Explaining why organizers named the event as such, Boyer said: “Form represents the aesthetic nature of the car; function, the performance. So whether you’re strictly into ‘form’ or only have a performance machine, this show is for you because it caters to all.”
Head on to the American Memorial Park on Sunday and enjoy the first ever Shell Form and Function Auto Show. (PR)
