Beach Road mag launches battle of the bands contest

Calling all recreational musicians.
It’s time to get out of the garage and let your music be heard live on stage! Beach Road Magazine will be holding the ultimate battle of the bands, the Saipan Summer Jam.
Saipan Summer Jam, which will be held at Palms Resort Saipan on Aug. 23, is open to all amateur bands with a minimum of two members. Exciting prizes await winners, who will also get a chance to perform at an emerging concert venue. Contestants will be judged by a six-member panel based on the following criteria: showmanship, originality, overall performance and audience impact. The last criterion will be determined through text votes.
Each band will be given not more than 20 minutes to perform, and will be required to provide their own instruments. Bands will also be required to coordinate with Beach Road Magazine to schedule a sound check at Palms Resort Saipan.
Deadline for submission of entries is 5pm on Monday, Aug. 18.
So tune up those keyboards and guitars. Tinker with your drum sets. Let the music play on and get ready for the biggest gig in town—the Saipan Summer Jam, another first from Beach Road Magazine.[B][I] (PR)[/I][/B]
