A recent water contamination problem affecting customers from Msgr. Guerrero Road to Dahon Drive has been fixed, says the Commonwealth Utilities Corp.

The mechanical malfunction that resulted in the water being insufficiently treated with chlorine has been corrected and customers residing in the affected areas no longer need to boil tap water before using it.

According to CUC, the adequacy of the chlorine treatment at Dandan Well #3 is checked daily.

Water samples collected and tested on Thursday, Aug. 7, were found free of E. coli, the harmful bacteria that prompted the warning.
