UOL kicks off orientations
University of Loyola has kicked off its series of orientations for Fall 2008.
According to the newly established institution, approximately 60 residents attended the first orientation held July 23 at the fourth floor of the Marianas Business Plaza in Susupe.
University president Dr. Johnny Fong led the orientations and answered all questions, together with school officials Rick Brien and Haidee Eugenio.
“Most of the people that came to the first orientation were from the community, and most were contract workers or foreign workers,” said Brien.
The fledgling university offers the following majors: Business administration, Medicine, Pharmacy, and Nursing. It also offer a “study now, pay later” program for local and foreign workers.
The start of classes is on Sept. 8, 2008.
Orientations will be every Mondays, Wednesdays at 6pm and Saturdays at 10am until the school opens.
Currently, the school does not accept scholarships such as the Pell, SHEFA, and CNMI Scholarships.
