Live-fire training on Farallon

The Emergency Management Office, in conjunction with U.S. Naval Forces Marianas (N3) Guam, is warning the public that the U.S. military would be conducting trainings on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla. The schedule dates and time are as follow:

Aug. 11 from 9am to 7pm Live fire training

Aug. 12-31 from 12am to 11:59pm Unexploded ordnance clearance

Sept. 1-12 from 12am to 11:59pm Unexploded ordnance clearance

The general location of this activity will be on the island of Farallon De Mendenilla Training Area on a 10 nautical mile radius on all quadrants.

Due to the danger imposed by this activity, EMO is advising the public—especially fishermen, commercial pilots and marine tour operators—to stay away from this area during the time and dates indicated.
