Christmas is indeed around the corner as Saipan welcomed the season with another successful event, dubbed Brilliant Star Holiday Bazaar 2008, held at the Pedro L. Tenorio Multipurpose Center in Susupe.

Over 24 booths and concessionaires, returning or new vendors, participated this year. Event chair Lydia Tan expressed gratitude to all the participants and parents that participated that helped this year bazaar a success.

The Brilliant Star Holiday Bazaar is an annual, pre-holiday festival showcasing the talents, crafts and services of CNMI artists as well as service providers “while spreading cheerful holiday spirit.” In her letter to the participants, Tan said the school welcomes local artists, cultural performers, also gift and community service providers to join the annual community event through performing a short piece on stage or displaying/offering their crafts at a booth during the one day event.

This year the bazaar held additional attractions that included children’s arts and crafts areas, annual holiday raffle, and a silent auction of children’s art also displayed during the event last Saturday.
