Castillo wins TDHC darts tourney
Don Castillo won the 1st TDHC Dart Tournament after besting a 32-player multinational field held last week at the Tinian Dynasty Hotel and Casino’s staff housing recreation area.
Castillo joined Rolly Rosales, Roanne Awa, and Richard Nuera in the Final Four of the game that is called Killers and Cricket locally.
The tournament started out with the aforementioned 32 players, halved to 16 after the first round, and then to eight after the second.Castillo then took on Awa in the first semis best-of-three pairing and prevailed, setting the championship match against Rosales, who beat Richard Nuera in their own semis match-up.
In the finals, Castillo hit his marks consistently, winning two games against Rosales’ zero victories to hoist the championship trophy.
The awards ceremony for the 1st TDHC Dart Tournament was held immediately after the tournament.
Club TDHC president Noel Sabordo was present during the ceremony along with tournament director Gener Bernal, who was assisted by Ernie Advincula. Other club members also attended the closing ceremony.
Sabordo thanked TDHC management, especially its general manager Tom Liu for making the 1st TDHC Dart Tournament a success. He also extended his appreciation to the support given by Antonio “Uncle” Kuan and Jimmy Casaruan.
