The suggestion by former governor Juan N. Babauta that we sue the federal government for Compact impact funds is a wonderful excuse in official negligence. Problem? It’s a Johnny-come-lately recommendation.
He was in Washington for 12 years and another four years here as governor. Why didn’t he lift a finger to resolve this matter? Too busy playing the white Trojan horse favoring federalization as to morph into an obedient mute for the feds? Nothing can be further from the truth!
