Forgiveness is key
On the issue between Mr. Vic Cepeda of Kristo Rai and Mr. Noli Santos, a choir group of the same church, it is a sad plight between them but I am not taking any sides as I do not know what really happened. But this is not a good example of being a Christian.
This reminds me of what happened in 1Corinthians of the New Testament. The apostle Paul was having a terrible headache because of the attitude of the Christians. The church founded by Paul was one of the largest during the 1st century but had broken out in a series of spiritual ills because of jealousy and selfishness among themselves. And this immaturity has been carried to this very day, which proves our spiritual life has never matured and we never learned.
On the other hand, boycotting or asking support of other churchgoers not to attend Mass at Kristo Rai until Mr. Cepeda makes a public apology is not a good option as it only creates division among Christians.
As a believer and a follower of Jesus Christ, one of the practical step we should take in order to be truly one: We should humbly seek the forgiveness of any brother we have hurt and be loving enough to forgive those who hurt us. Do this and you will find happiness, freedom and love.
