Dear Mr. Secretary: I, Joe R. Lifoifoi, hereby support the new owners of Suwaso Corp. in their quest to extend its 15-year lease. I reviewed the corporation’s business plan and it struck me to find out that the foundation of its business plan is community service and contribution. Suwaso Corp. is committed to providing community contribution as follows: scholarship programs for students enhancing their education; provide local education program; clean up and maintain Unai Dankalu beach and build infrastructures for our community to use for picnics and so forth; provide lightings along the roads of Koblerville; provide benefits packages for local golf players; promote local culture in the hotel; promote and sell local artworks crafted and made locally; promote and purchase food products that are grown locally to assist local farmers. These community contributions exemplify Suwaso Corp.’s commitment in giving back to the community and having the community part of its business.

In addition, part of the new owner of Suwaso Corp. is Vincent DLG. Torres, a Northern Mariana descent, and we need to support our local businessman. Accordingly, I fully support and request DPL to approve Suwaso Corp.’s 15-year lease application.

Joe R. Lifoifoi Chairman, UMDA
