Bravo Kitchen & Bar unveils new menu
Bravo Kitchen & Bar is hoping its new menu will bring in more customers to the Garapan restaurant.
Owner Adrian Ruan said the new menu is an offshoot of their lenten offerings and since it was well received by their dine-in customers, they decided to retain some of the items and add some others.
Bravo Kitchen & Bar’s new menu is highlighted by the mixed seafood platter that consists of grilled calamari, mussels, sea bass, and prawns.
Those who want more variety can order the mix deep fry platter, which is calamari, lumpia, chicken wings, and french fries with sauce and dressing.
A light and homey snack is the nacho overload that is made up of tortilla chips topped with grilled chicken, mozzarella cheese and served with refried beans, guacamole, salsa, and sour cream.
Bravo Kitchen & Bar also has new Korean dishes like Korean grilled squid, which is a tangy Gochujang-marinated Korean squid served with Bravo Korean sauce; and Korean Fried Chicken Dakgangjeon, which is crispy fried chicken glazed with Korean-style sweet chili sauce.
Filipino cuisine is well represented in the new menu as well with fried lumpia, sisig, and piping hot bulalo available.
The former is savory ground pork filling on a spring roll wrapper, while sisig is made out of pig ears, onions, chili, and peppers topped with an egg and served in a sizzling hot plate.
Bulalo is a Filipino beef shank with bone marrow soup with Chinese cabbage and sweet corn best consumed on a rainy day.
Ruan said the multinational menu so far has been a hit among its loyal customers and joins their bevy of bestsellers like the honey barbecue pork ribs, bucket of chicken, angus beef, black hamburger, and soup dumpling or xiaolongbao.
He said that they switched up their menu a bit to attract new customers since business has been a bit down since the new year began.
“Business is not really that good as there are no reservations and walk-in customers are not that frequent. We have low income and sometimes even lose money. After 7pm, not many guests come anymore, especially since not a lot of tourists are coming to the CNMI. We really miss Chinese tourists because they constituted a bulk of our business before. They love our food!” he said.
Aside from the new menu, Bravo Kitchen & Bar hopes to generate some sales by recently sponsoring a team in the Saipan Electronics Darts Association.
They also continue to host a live band every night, which has been a favorite of bar-hopping habitues who just like to relax and kick back after work. Currently, a band fronted by Jasmine is playing every evening.
Bravo Kitchen & Bar can also host private parties for christenings, birthdays, engagements, weddings, graduations, and for other special occasions.
Bravo Kitchen & Bar can accommodate 80 dine-in customers. It’s open from 11am to 2pm and 5pm to 9pm every day. The bar can also be extended by another two hours until 11pm.
It’s located across Cha Cafe along Beach Road in Garapan. For more information or to make reservations, call Bravo Kitchen & Bar at (670) 488-1818 or follow their Facebook page.
